Old School Gamers

I am now a new home owner. All the paperwork is done, and the keys are mine. Now begins the repairs and purchasing of furniture, cleaning supply, and the countless other things that I don't even realize I will need when I move out on my own. Like toothpaste... Hum, food would be good to have also.

Day 4 of downloading the Warhammer Online cloased beta files using bit torrent. The closed beta is over. All I can say is that the game was riviting aspect of watching 2MB files download, wondering if they will successfully add up to the 9+ GB I need to play. So far I have wasted almost a gig on failed hash checks. It is not like I have crappy internet, I pull down files on a regular bases at 2.5mbs. The AoC beta (10+gb) took me less then a day on fileplanet.

Hopeful the pre-order beta uses the same install package as the closed beta. If anyone is wondering here is the bit torrent link to the Warhammer Online http://torrent2.eamythic.com/WARBits.torrent It is not like you can do anything without an account, or a access code. Maybe if more then 10 people are on downloading it, people can get the file faster.

I know today is supposed to be the start of the pre order Beta. Haven't been able to enter my pre-order code in yet, had to go to work.

Last night I got my invite to Warhammer Online Beta. I was so stoked. I say was, because I found out that I have to get the multi-gig files by bit-torrent. Needless to say, I was doing more uploading then I was downloading. There were only 4 people that had the files. This is going to take weeks. So I may get the closed beta just in time for the switch over to the pre-order beta.

Way to cheep out EA. Maybe by the time the pre-order beta kicks in, they will have the bright idea of having fileplanet host the downloads.
